ticking noise

Default ticking noise

i got on it kinda of hard today. now when i accelerate i hear a ticking noise. only when i accelerate. what could this be?

where is it coming from? Definitely engine, under the car? ETC? Could be exhaust related

I did the same thing and thought that I messed up a valve but it turned out to be a spun rod bearing. I wouldnt drive it found out the hard way.

I just had the same thing happen in my 99 which turned out to be a cracked piston in the number 3 cylinder. I would check your compression. What you are describing sounds almost identical though but hopefully this isnt the case

false alarm the ticking noise stopped, it was just a socket which fell in the little holes in the hood, had to use a extendable magnet to get it out. lol
