I want some REAL sticky tires

I want some REAL sticky tires
right now i'm saving up for some saleen rims, 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear. What is the widest tire you can fit on the back with a 10" rim???? Also i want a REALLY sticky set of tires, i dont want full blown slicks, but a real sticky set of drag radials. What is the stickiest, most hardcore set of street legal tires you can buy??? I've heard the Nitto 555's are pretty damn good.

Is your car a daily driver?? If it is and you want drag radials, get the nitto's in 315's on your 10 inch rim. The bfg drag radials will hook better, but don't get as much tread life. And mickey thompson doesn't make an 18 inch tire so you can't get those. IMO, go with the nitto's.

You don't need the widest tire in the world if you can't get any traction. Even the stickiest tire won't give you the best traction. It's a combo of things likt your tranfer rate with your springs? Lower control arms? wheel hop? The driver? Also if this is an everyday driver, you can kiss the 50kmi treadwear goodbye.

whats done to your mustang? if its just boltons then u dont need the stickest tire in the world. Hell you dont even need MT's if your just spraying or have a small supercharger. nitto 555rs will hook just fine.

If you went with 17's (which they dont make in S styled rims, I've looked) then I'd suggest a pair of 315 hoosiers. 315 will be the widest you will want to go. As for the tires, probably the Nittos. Dont mix up the 555's and the 555R's. The 555's arent drag radials. BFGoodrich or Nitto, it's a toss up.
