I actually like that a lot. Does anyone else wish they made a stock front bumper without the flat spot in the center?

I was thinking that if you had the spokes of those bullitts that same gold, that would look very nice and very unique.

Funny you mention the wheels, I was teasing my painter about painting the wheels to match, i was thinking though I might go for the chrome Cobra R's eventually. I haven't seen any striped New Edge's here in VA, it's catching a lot of looks. I wanted iit done before the '07 in the gold/black combo comes out.

Dude, if you can, do the wheels. No one has those wheels painted to match the stripes. It sort of reminds me of the old Smokey and the Bandit theme, without the gaudy bird on the hood.

I had a '87 T-Bird Turbo Coupe in Black with the Pontiac Firebird aluminum/gold basket rims, it did look trick.
In fact, 40th anniversary Mustangs could opt for Gold Spoked rims.

Yes, but the Arizona Beige wasn't all that 'gold' to me. What you have stands out much better. It's not muted like the factory gold.

I went through 3 color books to find the right (true) gold with lots of metallic, I was trying to dupicate the color of the '66 Sheby GT 350 H, Hurst Olds of the '70's, the color is a 2001 GM minivan color, go figure!

Looks good. Much better than the stick on stripes. I really like the front chin too. Wish I could put one on my 03 cobra. I think it would look good too if there was a way to make the letters on your back bumper cover stand out.

+1 on the gold paint on the rims BTW. The Bandit's TA wouldn't stand a chance.

Get the mustang letters outlined in stainless steel or chrome... that would look pretty bad ***...

You read my mind, I was going to do the letter fill in either silver or another contrast color. Painting is the way to go, there are just too many solid colored New Edge Mustangs, especially black. Painting isn't cheap, I paid $1100. for the job, it takes a tremendous amount of time to line the tape up right on the contours of a New Edge and alot of masking, behind my grille, the engine, wheelhouses, wet sanding/buffing. The pint of paint alone was $45. It is getting very expensive to paint, and on a relatively new car it needs to be done right. It does however add to the value. My father in law said my car would be gone one day on his lot and easily $3k over retail, someone would just HAVE To have it. Custom paint, if tasteful, sells.
