Default Tranny Question

will the 98 3.8L AODE tranny bolt on to the 4.6L block?? and if it does can it handle the power?

I can't tell you for sure, but I would be HIGHLY SURPRISED if it did. But Mike is probably right. it's not very likely.

I had a 4.2 liter V6 in my F150 extcab and it would bolt onto a 4.6. Not sure if there is any difference between those and the mustang trannys though.

Im thinking any tranny from a windsor block, like a 5.0 or 351w would bolt up to your 3.8 - and that the mod motors transmissions wont work.
