hey there im just wondering if there is anyone out there with a supercharged automatic. I had a guy today tell me that i have a slush box and it is not worth having it supercharged. what do you guys think? will it still be fun and what times will i look at running with exhaust and all intake work done?

the 4R70W is actually a stronger more reliable tranny then the current 5 speeds....tell him to shut up. With an auto their is no boost drop between shifts and if you get a better Torque Converter and valve body/J-mod you will spank manuals at the track all day long.

cool thanks for the info. yeah so how much does the convertor cost and is that a must?

they range from $500-1200 dollars and it is the best mod you can do to an auto! They can knock off a 1/2 second off your 1/4 mile time!

yeah i have an auto..before i took it apart for the blower build i was making @285 rwhp through an auto which is good...i should add @100rwhp or more with the blower and cams and then i will take it to the track and see what it'll do. My friend with a similar setup is running low 12's on street tires and no traction so if i can get into high 11's with sticky tires i'll be happy...after that i won't be alowd back on the track without a roll cage and i'm not getting one in this car since its just a street cruiser.

i see sweet well those sound like good numbers to me. Im looking at the mongoose vortech kit form MPH. i have mid pipe, catback, tb/plenum and pulleys. oh yeah an i have u/l control arms sitting in my room. what type of numbers or times do you think i could put down?
