RE: need help with all the different brands
BBK makes the most inexpensive headers and most folks have them who have headers. SLP also makes exhaust.
You need to let us know what you want to accomplish, whether it's sound, performance, if you plan to supercharge it later, etc. Do that, and we can advise you better.
BTW, how far from Baltimore is Potomac?

It all depends on what you want to spend. Some companys have better quality control then others and that is what you are paying for. With the cheaper stuff you are running the risk of bad fitment. The more expensive stuff is not going to make more horsepower, well not enough to pay all that extra money. I have Mac complete exhaust and it all fits perfect. I have mac intake and it all fit and works perfect. The only things that the guys that paid the same price for their LT headers as I did for my entire exhaust system is their car is lighter due to the less money in their wallet.
I would go with BBK for the headers, MAC for midpipe and catback, MAC for the TB and Plenum, KN air filter (dont waste your money on a CAI), and go with VT for your cams.

Okay, sounds like you're wanting to prep it for the track. Are there any mods done thus far? If so, what are they? PM if you wish. I PM'd you earlier about this topic, so if you need help on the installs, I may be of assistance. Let me know.
I have to go to work, so I'll check back later. BTW, I live just south of BWI in Gambrills.
