reichard racing has intake adapter plates so you can use a 4.6 intake on a 5.4 block.

HPS is working on a 5.4 intake now that they have their 4.6 intake done. Several guys on another site have some prototypes.

I was reading an interesting article in one of the car mags and they were working on a V=10 that would bolt into the Mustang! The 351 had 500HP I believe and the 390 had 605HP! Aluminum blocks and heads. Is there a reason the existing V-10 would not work? 310HP buy 425lbs/ft. of torque! I read that the current V-10 is a tall block, not sure what that means. I would never be able to afford a V-10 from Ford if they ever go that route but what about a Navigator V-10? Mark

Actually it would work LOL... On corral I think there are a couple of guys doing a V10 swap. I have no idea what would be involved but that is something that you would either have to have a lot of money or a lot of knowhow.

They did a V10 swap in one of the mags a few years ago...came out of an econoline van...It will add weight but not much hp. The tq gain is nice though.

Do you have any more information on the 5.4 intake? I assume your talking about a 5.4 2v intake? If I could get my hands on one of those I would put the 5.4 in this weekend.

Well I bought the damn engine like a year ago and I just can't decide what I'm going to do. I really don't want to use the truck manifold or those adapter plates. If I'm going to spend that money I'm just going to make one. I would seroiusly put the 5.4 in this weekend though! I already have the head change kit and new flywheel. I've had the engine and trans out of the car (because long tubes the whole thing comes out) replaced the rear main seal[:@] and back in the car running in 9 hours, working at a medium pace(that's with me a 2 other guys). I've wanted this 5.4 for like 2 years now.

Those are the guys doing the 5.4 intake. They are just in the prototype and testing phase for the 5.4. If you have the 5.4 already I would say put her in. The torque gains will be incredible! I would just use a PI intake and get adapter plates so it would hook up to heads. Reichard racing may still have some. They are about 300 bucks though. Fom my understanding they are billet aluminum.
