My Daily Driver = Golf Cart, Rechargeable battery powered. 8 hours worth of charging gives me a full days worth of driving back and forth from my Company to the motor pool, to the PX, Shopette, and even Walmart. The cops just give me crap for driving on public roads with it so I stick to the sidewalks.

MY DD is actually my Mustang. I have a 96 Nissan Sentra that was my first car and it still runs great. But I cant actually bring myself to drive that everyday when I have my stang. Not even the super high premium gas prices can make me not drive the stang everyday haha

Why would you want a non-pi Mustang? I bought a '99 not knowing anything about the different mustangs but have learned a bit the last 2 months. There is a mach 1 in town, red/black. 300 or 310HP. Mt "99 will never see 310HP with the usual nolt on mods. Then, well I couldn't afford one, the '03/'04 Cobra's have 390HP! I have even seen some '96 Cobra's with SC's added for sale for 14K. I did want an automatic and convertible which I got but it's tough to mkae some good power from the usual add ons. OH! I have a '90 Ford Festiva for a second car. Ford nameplate on a car made in Korea with a Mazda drivetrain! 30-33MPG makes it nice though but I've been lucky(or unlucky) as we have not had a lot of rainy days where I had to drive the Festiva, all 1850lbs. of it! Mark
ORIGINAL: lucki96gtSince my 96 has been gone I have been thinking of buying another non-pi(of course) and building her up. Meanwhile I am looking at some daily drivers. What Daily Drivers or 2nd cars do you guys have? I am really leaning toward a 91 mr2 than my bro-in-law is going to sell.

I think stangs are great for DD. I mean one with a nice supercharger with say 350-400rwhp. Thats cool not too much and great power for playing sometimes on the street. I think they serve better as DD than anything else, maybe messy rainy days and snow for those that get it could have beater cars. But for me I couldn't own one that was a weekend toy. It's just too hard not to drive it. My next one will just stay in on rainy days since in Ga snow is rare.

My mustang was my DD but after the S/C I just couldnt keep out of the boost and I figured it was only a matter of time till I started racking up tickets, plus I was only getting about 16-17mpg. Now I have a 1994 Toyota Camry and I love it, its so slow when I get in my Mustang after 2-3 days of driving the Camry I feel like I just started driving a Viper. Now I know why others are surprised when I complain about my car not being fast enough. My advice, get an old Honda/Toyota. They last along time, with unbeatable gas mileage.
