was lookin around and the torque mod is set to stock, should i change this, also how do you know if your traction control is turned off, i set it to off, but i dunno if its taking, also on wot fuel, being a stock car should i lean the mix out some, i have my shifting firmness set to 200 on wot is that also ok?

anything u guys can suggest to mod this with the tuner would be alot of help

Torque modulation is what the computer does when you switch gears. It works like granny shifting in a manual. It takes power from the engine so the shift is smoother. Take it off. The "trac off" button in front of the shifter will be lit if the traction control is off. I leaned mine out some but it runs better at the stock A/F settings. Make sure you turn the timing all the way to +10, this is where the power is.

i couldnt find any traction control button, and everytime i switch it to off in the tuner, but it always has the "on" on top which im assuming it isnt turning off, i will take all my torque mod off, my spark is advanced

I thought the stock timing was 10, and 14 is the best timing to tune it to? Is that right?

think its 14 total but the tuner goes to plus 10 i thing if you go under it goes -4.......


ok i keep tryin to turn off traction control i dont think its taking, i have an automatic.. i cant find a buttonand no light comes on, i have a 98gt convert

You my friend have no traction control. That became standard in 2001? and was an option that start in 1999. Don't worry about it.

ok cool ty anything else i can do to optimize my tune, currntly what i have done is

WOT shift firmness- 200
half throttle shift firmness is 30psi
spark advance +10
torque mod - off


what sensors should i turn off

ok i got a new issue, tranny wont shift outta 1st... here is what i did when modding tune, lemme know what i screwed up

took WOT shift firmness from 120 to 200
took the half throttle from 15 psi to 30 ps1
took the torque mod off

turned the torque mod back on and it shifts gears again, dunno what that was about

Torque modulation has to do with the amount of the torque the engine is producing is fed to the part throttle shift. By turning it off you had ZERO torque available to shift the tranny. I have mine set at 100% but under very light load it can shift a bit hard and clunk the U-joints a bit so I may take it back to 50%. It does help the WOT shifting along wih the shift firmness setting. Mark
