Mt Twigbert I can not S/C my car w/ the compression ratio and stock internals. That's why I do not know if I want to keep my engine because for what it will cost me for internals and the supercharger I could sell most of the parts I have now buy a 4v and S/C. Yeah I might need to spend a little more but then payoff swould be more......

Youll need motor mounts, as far as clutch goes yes youll need to change that with the flywheel, I paid 3400$ for my cobra pullout complete, thats with all wiring ECU, radiator etc, BUT the ford part number for the cobra radiator and mass air flow is the same as the gt in those years. All depends if you can find a complete engine. dont beleive 2 grand will cut it though unless you find a real good deal

you got ripped. i paid a total of $7000 for a 500hp N/A 4v motor. look to spend between $1200 and 1800. get a lincoln mark 8 motor and put 99 heads and intake on.

Isn't that the type of motor the other guy on here bought that you said he would have issues. Do I need the 96 and up lincoln's or what?

If I went with a cobra motor I could use my computer, correct????? Or either one I could use my computer. Would the car run better by using the other computer or could I just fix all that w/ a tune? Did the lincoln motors have a forged crank or just the cobras?

I have a 97 GT, was pi swapped with boltons, i swapped to a 96 cobra motor, and been happy ever since, if you have an questions about the swap let me know, the sn 96 gts and cobra use the same exact tranny minus the mounting points and tailshaft which doesnt matter cause its going into the gt, so it WILL bolt directy to your gt t45 with no problems, when i did the swap i got the cobra computer, but i had a problem with it so used the GT computer which wored with no problems, you WILL need a new flywheel because the bolt patter on the cobra crank is different. You also need the throttle cable for the cobra cause the GT wont reach, the cable was the hardest part for me to get, didnt come with my pullout and they are discontinued from ford.
This guy said it worked. Does that mean it can work just not correctly???????

it would be easier to just use a cobra computer cause you wouldnt have to tune it. (save you $600) but if it worked for him i guess itll work for you
