i bought my 2004 mustang gt new 2 1/2 year ago, and have had NO problems untill last night!!! It has 32,000 miles on it and is still under warrenty so i had it towed to ford, and heres why---- got home from work last night and it smelled like i left my e-brake on, but i knew i didnt. left later that night to pick wife up from work, and the smell got worse, thats when i got worried. opened the hood and everything was so hot that i could touch a thing. i had only driven the car two blocks!!!! and the smell was back, even worse. today i took it around the block and the smell was once again back, but this time when i turned the car off the engine sounded rough. I started it again and engine did not sound right, im not sure what the problem is, it is under warrenty and i will find out monday, but it is killing me to know whats wrong, so if anyone can help PLEASE DO!!!!!!! let me add that the smell was close to the smell of brakes or the clutch, but not the same. oil level was fine, but the coolent was a little low

Maybe the clutch. Clutch smell will be really close to burning brakes amell. Dunno though, let us know what you find out. Hope you didn't remove the dealership's sticker or logo, because that will probably void your warranty. LOL
