GEAR RATIO
Your stock gears are 3.27
Not true on all, my 98GT came with 2.73's. Anyway, I agree with everything else.

I would go outside and enjoy my car but it is on the other side of the world and the air here isn't very fresh. I do have to much time on my hands because I have a 12 hour radio watch shift everyday because I cought some shrapnell with my leg about 3 months ago[sm=headbang.gif].

In about 2 weeks you wont see anymore threads like this from me just the ones that say "I F$*ked this up how do I fix it"

Watch for my thread tomorrow all about suspension.

Guys, check out the tech article sticky in the 5.0 section and see if you like that. Then give Code your feedback. It really wasn't that hard to do.

3 days late, but I got some more stupid gear questions.

I already know I will be ordering 4:10's and thanks to this thread I will order the Motive gears (less expensive and easier to find locally). I will also be ordering the the Eaton Posi to go along with the gears. My concerns are:

1. Other threads have stated that a manual transmission with 4:10 gears have problems vs auto transmission? This doesn't make any sense. Who knows for sure?
2. How difficult is the installation, and what should I be prepared for while installing? Tools, time, and tips?
3. I go to the drags every Friday night. What kind of times would I expect to see. I live in Phoenix, AZ and the heat is over 100-degrees when I arrive at the track, and high elevation.

My stang is a 2004 GT, stock with the exception of an SCT Tuner and VP Racing Fuel MS109. The best I have run at the track (STOCK) is 14.916 @ 95.93...great launch and rpms at 6000 when shifting. With the SCT and Racing Fuel I ran 14.794 @ 96.32. I don't need the driver mod, I know it's the heat and the elevation.

So, what kind of times do you think I would see with the gears and posi. I'm still new to the forums, but I have read just about everything there is to read in these forums plus the others, and now I got lots of mixed information and tons of questions.

Thanks
