engine mods
when i get my Gt mustang, im going to do some basic engine mods. This is what im planning. A CAI, a superchip, and a flowmaster exhaust system. How much should this put a 260 Hp GT engine too? 270? 280? thanks. Also, if you can name the best brands of each of i mentioned.... besides the exhaust.

The superchip: Don't know the specs on those, but I'd recommend getting the SCT XCAL tuner and have the car dyno tuned. Even stock you can safely wring out another 10 hp maybe.
Flowmaster catback: virtually nothing but noise. The mid pipe is a really restrictive piece, moreso than the catback. Do both and buy what you like the sound of. I chose magnaflow b/c it sounds good and it's stainless and will last forever.
Do a search on these topics on the forum and you'll have plenty of info to read.

So it's advised to get it dyno tuned? Do i have to take it to a shop somewhere? I hate letting other people work on my cars, i do everything myself, short of alignments, and thats because i dont have the machine.

RE: engine mods
Not even necessary until you decide to blow/juice/cam it. But, the more you do, the more you will get from a tune. It allows you to advance timing, etc. Not required with bolt ons, but can provide good returns.
Also, think about UDPs.
Did you ever get your car back rb?

What all are they saying is broken? $900 difference is a little bit o' money. What wheels did you get?
I've just about got my wife convinced that the FR500s I want is a good deal. I told her the OEM tires are over $600 plus mounting/balancing. Where as I can get the wheels with tires mounted, balanced and delivered for less than $1000. Either way, I have to have them this fall. My stock tires have 24K on them, so they are pretty worn.

RE: engine mods
6mustang6, I have the same catted x pipe as he's selling. I love the damned thing. Easy to install in worth it. I'll bet you'll pay a lot less than I did! If you plan on LT headers, then wait. Otherwise, I'd PM him and ask how much.
