If it's going on a 96+ and up they're not the best investment. Basically the 5.0s had pullies that were not very performance oriented in the slightest. The 4.6's came with more agreesive pullies however.

People will tell you they've seen dyno charts etc of pullies on a 4.6 making 7rwhp but the charts I've seen say no more then 4rwhp max.

It all comes down to who you ask.

I say intake side and exhaust side are the first two that should be opened up on a car.

BS... get you some steeda underdrives and a Timing adjuster and you will be looking at or about 15 HP. I got those two, magnaflows, the short throw shifter and the ProM 85mm MAM put on at the same time and 1st gear just wants to rip the tires off the rims! I thought they were an awsome upgrade.

I concur, I lean to the 7rwhp crowd from pulleys - its true the mustang pulleys are more aggressive but theirs still plenty to gain

I ordered March Performance underdrive pullies #1190 & I DEFINITELY noticed the difference on my '02 GT! I'd by them again.

4.10 gear, catback & a MAM really woke my 02 GT up. I don't know quite what it would run now since I lost my headers & h pipe from inspection.

But with everything on with my shorty frpp headers, I ran 13.8@104mph and I could of ran better with radials. I think it's a better idea to keep saving your money and do a better mod.

"This time we noticed a gain of three horsepower, but even more impressively, torque jumped to 275 lbs.-ft., for a gain of 12 lbs.-ft. And while we did not find a huge gain in average horsepower, our torque average rocketed from 223.5 to 232 lbs.-ft."

Right there are two articles from two well respected Mustang Magazines. You will notice that in the latter one they do not say what each individual part added however if the UD's added 7rwhp I would expect the total to be more.

You seem to forget Jdaniel I've had the pleasure of the 4.6Ver Cobra motor in my car (RIP) and now have the 5.0 in it. By the way March's were on both. UD's on a 4.6 aren't a big increase like you guys seem to think.

But what would I know....

hp no there is not a big increase but 12 lbs of torque is not bad. and also for the price they are a cheap mod and worth the money.

Yeah TQ increases but you guys were talking all about HP numbers.

People here might agree with you Jdaniel but the mags, my personal experiences, etc show and tell you different.

Then again I forgot this forum is filled with the most knowledgeable and fastest Mustangs in the nation.
