Default grill delete for free? or not?

ok from what i have gathed is that you the 78 bucks for something that i could do myself.

what im saying is could i remove the grill and cut out everything except for the phony emblem with a saw saw, or jigsaw.

has anyone else attempted to do this themselves or am i just really cheap. i was thinking worst come to worse i was go to a junk yard and get a new grill just incase i mess up the 1st time.

The early Mustangs, SN 95's have no grille, I personally like the look, it's much more agressive. As a side bonus, my AC works better with the grille delete, even with underdrive pulleys, $78. is a pittance for the clean, aggressive, look. I don't think a homemade delete would look as clean.

It won't look right, because there is a plastic piece that comes with the delete that connects the front bumper to the support directly behind it. Without that, it's going to look horrible. If you plan on saving money for performance upgrades then just do that and forget the grille for now. Otherwise, spend the money to get it. There are places that sell it cheaper then 80 bones though. I paid like 39 for mine.
