Default Full Synthetic Motor Oil

I just spend $30.00 of six Qt. of Full Synthetic oil for the Cobra..

People have been getting by w/ standard $0.98 a Qt. oil for years so did I just **** away $30.00?

the synthetic does indeed cause less wear inside the engine.

The best thing to do is break in the engine with dino oil so it helps develope good wear patterns, and then very early in the engine's life go fully synthetic. Your engine WILL last longer.

I use the semi-synthetic blend. It works well. My car doesn't really eat oil like it used to or anything like that. I will always use the semi-synthetic or full synthetic from now on

I used to pay $31.00 for a shop to do mine w/ basic oil.. I just bought this full synthetic from a very price friendly store.. If I paid $5.00 a qt. (x6 w/ the V8) and I'm doing it my self I can't imagine how you are only paying $29.00 and having it done.. To me it sounds like your getting basic oil and not synthetic... The numbers just don't add up if you ask me..

Did you fill the oil filter before you screwed it on?

can you do that with a cobra?

on my GT the filter goes on it's side, so filling it would result in spillage. I don't fill mine, and within a second i have oil pressure
