My '03 GT owner's manual says 6 qts, including the filter--and that's what it takes to fill mine. BTW I do fill the filter, sort of--I pour oil into it fairly quickly 'til it's up to the threads and then let it sit while to pan drains, the oil will soak in to the media and you won't spill a drop installing it. The filter is not completely ful of course, however the medai is saturated and that gives the oil flow a leg up when you start the engine.[/align]

Quarts man not liters. If youre gonna fill the filter just pour it in till its full, keep the catch pan under since you're gonna spill some. Then fill the engine and check with the dipstick. Make sure the old gasket comes off when you remove the old filter. You don't want that sticking to the motor.
