Tell me about the 03 GT
Looks like my deal with the cobra is falling through so I might just get a GT. There is a sonic blue 03 GT with 16K miles for 18K on the lot. I wanted the cobra for obvious reasons, but someone bought it before me [:@] How is the power in the GT? I know 260 isnt that spectacular for a v8 but I'm just looking for some general opinions, like is it worth getting or what should I do. I would definately get long tube headers, X pipe, Magnaflow and what else could I do to it? I would be happy if I could get it to 300hp.

Based on what new cars are going for I wouldn't go higher then 17k...but to be honest with you I would just look at getting a brand new one. I got a new 2004 GT 5 speed premium trim for $18,800 out the door (taxes title fees minus $2,000 trade in)

Is there a price limitation? Because in all honesty if you were going to buy a cobra and your deciding on buying a GT why not a MACH1? Cobra vs GT is a huge difference. You might kick yourself in the butt. Btw that price for the GT is too high. I paid 18.9k With no trade in and no down payment on my '04 GT.

THere is no way the price is to high......the price of the car was 900 under invoice. Maybe the tax rate in your area is lower then mine or something but you can't say $900 under invoice is to high a price.
