This is for all those who think LT's don't produce 20+ rwhp on a 4.6

This is a DIRECT before and after on a mildly modded GT. The thread is on another forum. The guy claims he dyno'd his car, installed longtubes and re-dyno'd his car after. Now I've been claiming 20-25 rwhp from longtubes on a stock to mildly modded stang, and constantly get people claiming that they don't add much at all. So far those people (you know who you are) haven't provided proof of their claims yet - just spitting out unverifiable #'s.
Tell me what you think. This is 22 rwhp with NO loss in power below 2500 rpm.

Where's that from... or what mods did the guy have?

Wow did you read that whole post? There are some really..... stubborn people on there. Even after the guy with proof showed his dyno run the other guy kept arguing. Just thought that was funny. He would rather follow his "SOTP" gauge than a dyno o.0 wierd little boy.

BTW the june issue of MM&FF shows a dyno run with long tubes. There was a significant INCREASE of torque and power. June and July issues are full of 4.6 2v upgrades with dynos attached to each.

Well every time I post about how much of a gain longtubes add, I get a few people agrueing that they aren't worth the trouble or that their 450 hp supercharged car only picked up 20 hp and its not worth it and blah blah blah.

20hp is always worth the trouble. Its what Mustang owners do... they try to queeze out every ounce of power/torque they can out of their engine. Fact of the matter is Ive done ALOT of research on headers because Im trying to decide what to go with and I keep running across the phrase "...4.6 2v stock headers are TOO restrictive." I know MM&FF arent the mustang Gods but I believe them enough when they say the stock headers actualy starve the engine of hp.
I did read an article from somewhere that says lt can add up to 45hp at the flywheel on the 99+ GTs... dont know about that one.

you were the person I was referring too []
theirs lots of factors, like weather, plug condidtion, etc. that can have an effect on the gains you see from any mod, even your tuning. maybe your car, nomo, was a freak of nature - maybe you dyno'd with different bar pressure, humidity, temp, etc. than before - who knows.
you got a dyno graph to show your gains?
***edit*** add another one *** this person here claims 23 rwhp when he went from an off-road h-pipe to longtubes and a matching x-pipe.
