Ok, my car (2000 GT) has been sitting for a week while i have pieced together, installed, and tested my zex wet nitrous kit. The car is in great condition and has been flawless since i have owned it (38,000 miles are on the car) with only three month on the sparkplugs(fuel filter was also replaced at the same time). I started it up today and it ran perfectly, i got in the car and headed to jegs to get my nitrous bottle filled. About five miles down the road my check engine soon light started flashing on off on off about 8 to 10 times in approx. 1 second intervals. While it was doing this there was a large loss of power (allmost a sputter when i tried to give it gas (my air/fuel monitor seemed to be right where it should be). So, i happend to be right by an advanced auto parts where my guy there has a fully built 500 hp gt. I pulled in and had him pull the code for the check engine light, and to both of our suprise, there was no code. The computer was saying that there had not been a code set off and the the engine (sensors) was in perfect running order. So, we thought that it may have been a fluke so i went onto jegs and filled my nitrous tank. Right after i left jegs the computer started showing this flashing code again the same as before. I then took it to auto zone to have them try to pull this imaginary code and once again there was nothing there. So, i disconnected the battery to atempt to reset the computer but it still goes into a flashing check engine light after driving a few miles. Another thing that is strange is that it only does it one time per trip( or sometimes not at all). I drove for about thirty miles and the only time it malfunctioned was in the first few miles. Does anyone know what this means and why it just started happening. I have a loaded ready to fire zex kit and i just cant bring myself to flip the switch until im sure that i know what this problem is. Any input would be very helpful. Thanks in advance,

No problem. Its that 00 GT love that i was talking about!! But that is a little trick us 99-00 guys have for our CEL's. It has helped me alot, that is before i got the diablo tuner. The gauge cluster thing has a digital speedo too that goes past what ur dash one goes too and it has oil pressure and all that good stuff plus it has a digit rpm and fuel gauge. Its fun to play with.

Thanks man, i really don't trash my car like that all the time, that was just for the sake of an atempt at a decent video. Glad you like them. i'm going to post more videos with a 75 shot of nitrous hopefully at the track this time. (once i find out what this problem is), im hoping that i can fix it with the x-calibrator tuner, its brand new to me so im not really sure of its full capabilities, i hope it has the same tuning capabilities that you were saying the diablo has. It was a tough decision for me between which of those two tuners to get, in the end i just got the one that i could find cheapest on ebay, i'm going to call ford in the morning, and im going to spend all day saturday with the tuner and hopefully figure this thing out(right now the car is still on the stock tune.) Your chip could be failing, but typically a flashing CEL means a majorrrrrrr mis-fire. That would also explain your huge power loss.

I agree, my number 7 coil plug went out while I was driving and the car bogged way down, almost shut off. So you could try replacing them.

It is most likely a misfire, as far as i know with fords thats the only thing that can cause the cel to flash at you.
