Default new guy with some help needed

Hello!

I'm the proud new owner of a 2001 mustang gt convertible.

the only problem is on a scale of 1-10 of how much I know about cars: i rate a 3. On a good day. While sitting on a tech pub.

So heres how the story goes.

I know the pony has a Paxton Novi 1000 supercharger
I know the pony has a bassani exhaust system.
It also has a boost gauge and a fuel/air ratio gauge thats been installed.
I dont know what else to look for to know whats been changed. Some things are obvious, some are not.

I am trying to establish a base knowledge about the mustang in general, and a working knowledge of cars themselves. I work on electronics for the navy, and am very capable of navigating through equipment to find information. I just dont know what to look for.

I have a friend whos very knowledgable(sp?) automotive wise, but hes not farmiliar with mustangs/ford vehicles. He tells me I need to find out if some things have been modified.

fuel injection system to compensate for the supercharger. He mentioned something about bigger injectors? From what he explained, you should have a larger injector to push more fuel to compensate for the larger amount of air intake to obtain that perfect mix.

Starter? is this an issue?

alternator? same question

Cooling: With whats currently running, do I need to be concerned with anything other than keeping a clean 50/50 mixture in the radiator?

I just changed the oil with 5 quarts of 5w20 castrol syntec gtx and replaced the spark plugs with bosch platinum 4's, as per my friends reccomendation.

The second part is this:
Its an automatic. How hard is swapping these from an automatic to a standard? My wifes car is a standard, and I've grown to love driving, not operating cars.

I dont even know what else to ask questions about. So if theres a knowledgable entusiast whos willing to work with me, Id greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Although there are a lot of knowledgeable beings around here, the first thing I suggest is posting this in the right area.
