I have a npi motor and want to get more power. There are mark VIII engines going on ebay for under 1000 all the time. Is this engine any good. What is the diference from this and the cobra engine?

well the only reason i am even attempting the swap is because i am getting the motor for really cheap. the mach 8 motor was the starting point for the 03 cobra. the only really expensive thing i can see that i will have to do it change the internals to maket hem stronger.

 

i own a 94 mark Vlll. and believe me it would be worth it. i got my motor sittin about 320 horse in my mark. with out touchin the internals

 

oh yeah differance is exhaust, intake and different timing

if you got gears with these motors they are fun as hell. when they hit about 3900 they really open up and are damn good runnin motors

 

so would it be worth it to go with this engine or just save up for a cobra engine?

 

These must be dual overhead cam motors? Interesting if so. Mark

 

yeah the are 4.6 dohc what are the differences between them and the cobras though??
