Thats not missinformation almost every person would agree with it. not saying it cant be done its just not as good of an option. The 4.10 are not nessesary for a s/c car and you travel through gears too fast adding no speed in the 1/4. With a centri charger you can use them fine because you dont reach full boost untill high rpms the kennebell on the other had reaches full boost at 1500 rpms. the roots/screw charger go with 3.73
Not to argue with you, but it is. You never made a distinction on what type of s/c. You just said s/c = 3.73. Now you're saying it's ok with a centri. How many people with 2v Mustangs are running a non-centri s/c? I'd venture to guess that the majority are running a vortech or some other centrifugal s/c.

Not for nothing, but I'd put more stock into a person's opinion that has experience with both, albeit mine were 3.90's. It just kills me when people recite that "3.73 for a s/c 4.10 for n/a" mantra like it's gospel, especially when they haven't experience with one set up or the other. It's just what they've heard. There are plenty of people with s/c's that have dumped their 3.73's for 4.10's. Like I said. I dumped by 3.90's for 4.10's.

Bam.

What didnt you like about your 3.90s that made you go to 410s? And was there that big a difference once you go there? I have 410s in mine and would like to see what a lesser gear would be like.

all you people arguing about 4.10's with a supercharger.... I dont think with a S/C it will make a huge difference between 3.73's and 4.10's so it is not misinformation it's called an opinion.

KB ran tests on 2 types of s/c. 3.73's were faster in the 1/4 than 4.10's.

Only because of traction issues.

In equal conditions & traction, the 4.10 car will be faster.

I vote for 4.30's

If it's stated like a fact it is. I agree that it is just a personal preference. But people post like 4.10's on a s/c'd car is unheard of.

There was a difference, that's for sure. I wanted more gear with the Vortech. It gets me up into boost that much quicker.

Try the search button... its to the right of calendars, to the left of Live Chat Lots of gear post already

I like 4.10s with a 3650

I like 3.73s with a T45 ----cuz to me with a T45 5th is pushing the "to low" side with a 4.10 gear.

gear calculator
use this^ to compare gear ratio's at certain speeds, then see what you can stand

I vote 4.10's or 4.30's on a non-daily driven 2V. I have 4.10's in rearend, & would go 4.30's if I were to do it again & stay n/a. However, I am considering a built shortblock and a t-trim, so I'll probably be staying w/the 4.10.
