Default Synchro Question

I have an '03 GT with a 5-speed. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to get the car into second gear, I mean i have a short throw shift kit and that didn't help much either. I was just wondering if it might be something to do with the synchros or something like that. If so, are those covered under a warrentee and if not how much would it be?

Default RE: Synchro Question

There is a TSB on that problem with your trans. If it is still under warranty Ford will rebuild it for free, if not, its expensive at the dealer. The parts alone are about 1300.00 and 6 hrs. labor, good luck.
