i am looking for a heavy duty synchro assembly if there is one. i need a rebuild on my t45 tranny. i want to get a tko but my plans for that fell through so since i dont have the cash for that then i am going to get a good rebuild, spec stage 1 and spec steel flywheel. does this seem like it would be a good combination if i dont have alot of cash. i have about $1400, and i know i need a rebuild aswell and for the clutch and flywhell i am looking at $440. so if u have any other opinions then let me know. but i really need to find somthing thats allitle stronger for the t45, if there is any?

I think you can get a syncro rebuild kit, and I have seen adds for "heavy duty" t-45, but I have never seen the parts specifically.

Be careful getting a rebuilt t-45. I went thru 2 of em before I said screw it and went with the TKO.

 

im not buying a rebuilt one. i have a good friend who works at a shop, and he is going to rebuild it for me

 

check out Hanlon Motorsports. They make a pretty good kit to spice up the T45. there was an article about them in a MM&FF last year sometime.

 

I've seen the same thing as morgan but I also agree with 2000 above. The T-45 wasn't a great design to begin with. A couple of friends tried the rebuilds and wound up getting TKO's at the end, good luck.
