Default 2v vs. 4v?

Ok i know that a 4 valve is better than a 2 valve, but can someone please explain the differences, motor wise. I learned all about engines and used to know this stuff, but now i just dont remember it. So, if someone could just explain all the differences, i would appreciate it. Thanks

the 4v has twin cams for better breathing and higher redline. The 2v is sohc and does not respond to well to mods.

Default RE: 2v vs. 4v?

Do a search. This topic has been covered many times.

2v - 16 valve, 1 intake and 1 exhaust valve per cylinder, 1 cam per head
4v - 32 valve, 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder, 2 cams per head, 1 for intake valves and 1 for the exhaust valves

More air airflow w/ the 4v, hence more hp...
