it is set to illuminate at a certain rpm... so it will go at like say 5500rpms if you set it at that... and only when you hit that rpm... i am really thinking of getting one of these shift lights.. not sure if it will bug me to much though seeing it all the time.. haha.

yeah thats what i thought, i personally would never get one, cuz i just look at the tach. When i race thats all i look at is the road and the tach.

I got one - great product. I like it so I can keep my eyes on the road and my a/f gauge when I am hitting it hard.

Anyone using one? I just ordered one for the silver bucket. Gimme your opinions. THANKS
Gonna be my next mod, nothing more annoying than an overrev/early shift.

Put it in the register vent FTW!

I have a Raptor and love it.It's small enough to not be noticeable on the steering column and bright enough to be seen in bright sunlight.
I bought mine after hitting the rev limiter twice in the dark trying to watch the tach.Watch the tach or the road, you can't do both while rapidly increasing your speed.

I have a question, so if ur accelerating normally how does it know when or does it even illuminate? Normally i shift at about 2k so would it illuminate in town?
You adjust anywhere as low as 1k to 19,000 mine is set a 2k right now just cause i like to watch the light come on when Im just cruisin but then with a small screw driver I can adjust up to my usually shift points in seconds.

I've had mine for about 2 months now and I love it. I placed mine on the A-pillar just above eye height. It is out of the way, you can't see it unless you are looking for it, but when it lights up, watch out! Here's a pic.

I've had one for about 6 months or so -- it's definately a top notch product. I really like it's size and the fact that I was able to place it behind the a/c vent and out of the way. (Similar to the install in the FordMuscle write-up)

Good write-up here if you haven't already seen it.
THANKS for the write up link
yea i have mine in the ac vent and its bad ***, gets people every time when they ride in my car and i get on it. its real bright

i love mine. there are two screws on top. one is for x1000 rpm and one is for x100 rpm. you can set it within hundred rpms of where you want it to go off. i have mine on my steering colum. super easy install. you just have to have small hands and know the basics of wireing if any. the directions they give on the site are real helpful also. i want to get teh speed of sound guage pods so i can mount min in there. itll look sick. if you need to know anything else just ask. or if you want a vid or somthing. hears a pic.
