I'm debating if I want to spend that much extra money for a lm2 cat-back or get something cheaper...is sound the only difference, or is there a couple h.p. too? I know flows are chambered and more restrictive. I wanna be able to get an off-road h-pipe and not have to worry about cops pulling me over b/c im too loud...

+1 Couldnt have said it better. ENSURE when you cut the old catback off, you cut it right above the axle so you wont have to cut it anywhere else. I hope you plan on reimbursing your dad cause you will brake about 4 saw zaw blades but its worth it. One other thing, make sure u position the clamps so it makes it easy to tighten and loosen them. Good Luck!!
I didnt break one

I agree. Welcome to the LMII fan club.
They were my first mod and they sound great. I have since added a catted SLP X-Pipe. The sound is not quite as deep anymore. It is louder. I would not call it raspy yet. An O/R X-Pipe would be raspy. The exhaust definitely flows better with the X-Pipe. So, consider saving your money for your next step in sound enjoyment.

Easiest way to cut those pipes if you don't have a torch is a chain cutter. It raps around the pipe and hooks on the other end of the tool. Then you tighten the tool and just rotate the chain around the pipe. It's friggin the easiest thing, lol. But then you've already got it done so who cares.

Also I had LM2's and had to sell them, they were WAY WAY too loud. I have the Mac Offroad Xpipe with those at the time, it was REAL REAL Embarrassing loud bad. lol I changed the LM2's to the SLP Power Flo's. God I love the fact they're interchangeable. Just removed the LM2's and put the others on, then sold em. I have BBK Shorty Equal lenght headers, mac offroad x-pipe and the slp power flo catback.

They don't sound bad at all. It mellowed it out big time. You can hear it at start up, and idle somewhat, it's pretty quiet also at cruising speed, but opens up really nice when on it.
