NICE COLOR CHOICE MAN!! Hahaha! Yeah the 1999-2000 hoods look bland, but fortunately purchasing and installing a hoodscoop is a cinch.

What options do you have?

Is it really worth buying a new hood scoop....mounting it....getting it painted, etc.

I would just get a new hood.

Glen,

I like your car too! Yeah the yellow looks awesome on these cars.

I have:
4.6L V8
5-speed manual
BBK X-pipe exhaust with only 1 cat. conv. on each pipe
True Flowmaster exhaust tips welded on
full black interior
All leather
Cobra Spoiler
SVT chrome rims
Mach 1 Grill delete and chin spoiler
aftermarket shifter
K&N filter
Mach 460 premium sound system
Amplifier in the trunk
Fog lights
Very Very clean car!

How about your car?

Mine's fully loaded, BBK X-pipe (no cats ) with Flowmaster mufflers, and a K&N air filter. And 5% tint on the back and back side windows. Over the winter, I plan on getting bullitt wheels, lowering springs, a hood scoop (of course), maybe new side scoops, and a power adder.

That cobra spoiler looks super clean, by the way.

JonBeast has a point...A new hood is another option as opposed to just buying a scoop...

I've got a '99 and would like a scoop or hood but I have not seen a hood I like except maybe the shaker hood but it's big bucks and I am not sure what it is constructed of. Can't the later scoops be bought from Ford and mounted as the guy with the green car did? mark

Wait so the other one is also non-functional? What gives? Do they make a functional scoop for the GT's?
Just cut a hole out and make it so air comes in the hood scoop and keeps your TB and UI cool. It works great. A few of my buddies did that and they cruise around racing all night (in this cold colorado weather) and theyll pop their hoods and their TB and UI's are ice cold. . .
