Hey guys i own a 01 with 33K miles. Im not one to really dig into a motor, but i was wondering, a buddy at work recommended this to me. Would it be possible to run low 13's with a 50-100 Shot on a stock 01. Stock time is 13.7. Im just now getting into the Nitrous and Forced induction world.

But can a stock 01 hold up to it? I was told they could but, not everyone in the marine corp are smart.

i own a 98 cobra hasnt been ran and 2000 v6 3.8 and sprayed a hundred shot on th v6 and ran 14.2 stock runs 15.8 so i would imagine u would run mid to high 12. depending on the shot

Better get some good tires. I ran 13.86 on street tires with a 327 gear. It went to a 13.1 on a 100 shot but my 1/8 times got .1 worse than stock because it wouldnt hook till mid third gear. Both 60' times were 2.2 (2500 two step). If you can plant your power low twelves are easy. My friend has a car like yours with headers, offroad h, 430 gears and nitto 555s he consistently runs 13 flat.

Hate to hijack the thread, but when used properly and in moderation how much damage (if any) does the nitrous cause to the engine. Basicually does it shorten the life of a well maintained engine?

It doesn't shorten the life drastically provided you keep everything in good order. If you've got bad spark plugs, clogged fuel injectors, or something that is causing a problem, nitrous is only going to make it 100x worse... but if everything is in good condition, you're not doing any harm.

So if I was to run nitrous on a 2001 mustang GT w/ 80,000 miles on it would be wise to get new spark plugs, wires, fuel injectors, and run on premium gas?
