Are you sure? I don't believe there is such thing as an octane sensor. There is o2 sensors, which measere fuel air ratio, and there is a knock sensor, which would pick up on detonation that would occur if you was running to low of octane.
I may be wrong, but if there is an octane sensor where is it at?

No car is equipped with a octane sensor. There is no such thing as an octane sensor in fact.

There are "knock" sensors" on certian cars that can pull timing if need be, but i do not believe that our car has them either.

Also, octane has nothing to do with the car running rich or lean.

exactly...simply put: octane is a rating of how much compression and heat the fuel can take before it self ignites> or detonates.

Also willis98cobra- if you are going to run this much nitrous you might want to back off the timing a little, this will also decrease the chance of self detonation
