Default My next mod..COLD AIR

Well boys my next mod is a cold air intake. Any suggestions? I hear JLT makes a nice one but i have two freinds that have it and it always falls apart... so am kind of afraid of that one. Which one would be good priced and give me good bang for my buck!? O and how is install on one of these? Thanks

its easy, just buy the cheapest one you can find. Its not gonna be that much of a diff if you buy the most expensive one or the cheapest one. CAI is kinda a joke if your lookin for lots of performance gains. IMO i can only speak for myself.

+1 on what they all said.

Your CAI should be your last bolton piece. Even a t/b and plenum combo makes more power. What is all done to your car?

Right now all i have done is a BBK o/r X and 40 series flows. Even though cold air doesnt create alot of power doesnt it help your car run.. stronger? It will make my exaust sound louder n such wont it? O and im not getting it for looks i just thought it was good to have. Would just getting a K@N filter do about the same trick?

The K&N would probably give you about the same gains...which is very little. I just put a BBK CAI in my car, the only change I can tell is a sucking noise coming from my passenger side fender when I give it throttle. That is actually more than I expected!

Get some gears. The difference will be x10 more noticable then all of your current mods and the CAI kit.

I was considering gears.. I have an auto so i wasnt sure about 3.73 or 4.10s..remember this is a daily driver and i cant scream on the highway. Where is a good place to get gears and do you know prices? I already have someone that could do my install.
