Default daily driver vehicle..

I just sold my current daily driver.. at the same time as juggling a few other things I need to find another dd. Tech wise what would you guys consider? I really dont feel like spending a ton so something simplistic, its just for the drive to school. i mean i have a friend whos willing to sell me his 99 corolla, 60k mi for 4grand.

Hell of a deal on a corrolla. I paid 4K for my 96 geo prizim with 70K on the clock just a few months ago.

Best MPG to date was 38. I am getting 35.5 MPG solid back and forth to work (30 min highway, 10 min city) It is a 5spd so I pick up some there, and its the 1.6L.

For a little 1.6 it does real good too. Pretty quick for having less displacement than a soda bottle

gordo! dude! are you kidding me the gt is sitting in the garage lol..

i had a nissan that i sold, didnt like it so i didnt need it really. right now im driving the gt, i have been driving to school 22 miles back and forth, for about 3 weeks. and im just about to break 50kmiles and i want to keep them low so i need to reinvest into another dd. i figure leasing something isnt even worth it..

and if im going to s/c i need to have something to commute, you know? people say get a bike, but idk about all that.
