I have just got 3.55's for my 02 mustang GT, its a 5spd car with 3.27. The trans is a tremic 3650. I was wondering what speed gear will I need to make the speedo correct?

yea 3.73's or 4.10's are the way to go. I would return them if I were you, but i'm not so if thats what you want then thats cool. Like he said, get a tuner.

you can't correct the speedo on a 99+ with the gear, you MUST get a tuner for this

and the 3.55s are almost a waste

I have to disagree in a sense when I bought my car it had a cobra rear end it came out to 3.27 in my 96 mustang when my rear end died on me i sawped to a 3.55 i think this gear is perfect for cruizing and getting great highway miles and my car has plenty of get up a go. but a 3.73 is a good gear if you want a little more aggressive i plan on running 4.10 in my chevelle

you MUST get a tuner for this
dallas mustang speedcal....90$... i do believe that saved me 310 dollars when compared to a tuner

(does rear end gear changes, and tire size changes)

tuners are going for about 350-380 now. You get a lot of other gains with a tuner whereas the speedcal is a once and done event. you'll end up buying a tuner in the future anyways.

get a tuner to re-calibrate your speedo, and honestly id return the 3.55 and get some 4.10s. in a month or so the 3.55 are gonna seem like the stock gears and you will want more. the best gear to get IMO is 4.10s. do it right the first time

I chose the 3.55 gears because I drive freeway alot durring the summer. I store the car in winter since I live in michigan. I'd like toget some 3.73's but till I get out west I be alright with the 3.55's for now.
