what you think its less ? im sure its no less then that, a lot of guys on here call it cold air intake when they remove their snorkel and put in a K & N.

I would not hope for more than 5 whp on a stock Gt with just this mod. you might get 8-10 when you start talking about a car with the rest of the boltons done.

The snorkel is the long funnel like adapter that is hidden inside the fender.
It is attached to the assembly by a rubber gasket.
By removing it you are exposing the air filter to a greater amount of air at any given time. The snorkel greatly restricts the amount of air entering the air filter.
Note.. if you remove it you should check the AF more frequently as it will collect more dirt quicker. In my experience anyway.
