DONT BUY FROM A DEALERSHIP!!!! They will bend you over and stick it right in. It may take a little bit longer, but look for private sales. It's a lot cheaper that way and you never know what you'll find. I got my immaculate 2000GT with 27,000 miles on it in feb. 2005 for $12,800. Besides, mustangs are for sale eveywhere....

78K does sound like a lot of miles, i would try to find one
with 40K tops and you should be willing to pay a little more,
but you will be happier in the end

That price blows.

The guy who bought my 02 GT with 50k bought it from the dealership for $13,500! This was OVER a year ago! 50k miles, many mods, immaculate paint.

Waaaay over priced.

I'd pay no more than 10.5 for that car.

yea the miles are killing me. I would be trading in my 02 v6 that only has 28K miles.

I live on Long Island New York..possibly the most expensive place to buy a car. If I was to sell mine now....2002 GT with 75,000 miles I would ask 11,500 OBO without the rims, etc.

That price sucks, I bought my car with less than 12K miles for only $14K. Go through a private seller.

maybe 15999, im trying to stay low so my payments wont be high. Most of the money will need to go towards the insurance increase.

$16,000 or so is your limit?

That is Mach 1 or 01/older Cobra territory. Keep shopping!!

Look at private party via: forums, autotrader, local paper, and some others. Usually a dealer marks prices up to keep themselves in business.

Although, even with that high of mileage, that color is rare. It might not be so bad, since I have only seen 3gts and 1v6 vert in that color. It looks killer.
