I have 450hp with 3.73s and basic bolt on SS cars still are a somewhat competitive race for me. Granted they aren't as fast but if I miss a shift, or get a bad launch there can be some close runs. Im def not calling it impossible- but those 2000+ SSs and WS 6s are very respectable.

Maybe he fried his tires off or quickly gave up, because without some more mods, that LS1 should have left your butthole bleeding and begging for mercy.
