I have a question, I see people that have put they have removed the silencer off of their K&N Filter. What exactly does that entail what parts need removed and does it make it louder or what? Thanks for any help

its the air silencer next to the air filter. it allows more air t o come in, the only thing louder is the whistle of the intake. here i will post a link up of it.

hey man i did that a ouple days ago and the only thing u need is a couple tools n like 5 to 10 min of ur time i hear a lil different n its with the stock filter not the knn i still need to get mine in so hopefully then it breaths better

oh **** guys no more info need nessesary i have a K&N cold air intake so the silencer came off with the stock Assembly i just did not know what or if there was a different part. Not to mention i have a ram air induction kit made by March which runs directly from the bumper up through the fender and into the stock whole where the silencer would be which blows directly into the Filter so thanks for the help
