03/04 Cobra's vs. Vipers
I'm trying to do some research on Vipers cuz my fiance wants one someday. Before she met me, she didn't know anything about mustangs and she really likes them now. That alone is great and she already loves the 04 Cobra that I'm gettin soon. But she has always loved the Vipers and wants one down the road. My question is, how do the terminators compare to the Vipers from the years of 95ish to 06's? Comparison as in handling, HP, TQ, times etc. If anyone knows a link to that or something or just has general info, I would appreciate it... thanks guys.

Well..
I think I can offer some assistance w/ this question..
I raced both a 95 viper and a 04 Cobra (pullied, exhaust, tune).. I am dead even w/ the 04 till 4th and then I start to pull ever so slightly..
Against the Viper, well, you can watch..

Basically, if I am DEAD EVEN against a slightly moded 04 Cobra and I am dead even against a slightly moded 95 Viper you can tell both of those cars will be dead even..
I think I can offer some assistance w/ this question..
I raced both a 95 viper and a 04 Cobra (pullied, exhaust, tune).. I am dead even w/ the 04 till 4th and then I start to pull ever so slightly..
Against the Viper, well, you can watch..

Yea looks pretty even... the 4.10's deffinetly helped you launch out a lil quicker on the low end. Oh by the way, I know you commented on one of my threads about cobra's a few days ago... I already put a deposit down on one and its being held for me right now. I posted some pics of it in this section, should be 'Black 04 Cobra pics". Go check it out.

haha twigbert (cant really say - she might not have the driver mod )... well we can look at facts see what you think...
Srt10 viper has 500bhp and about 500lb ft of tor, weighs around 3200lbs give or take (i dont know how underrated or overrated that engine is)
most pullied Cobras with thing like intake and exhaust will put 460+rwhp out and weighs around 3665lbs or so...
Take it for what it is... I only found 1 SRT10 to race, and it was wet out so you can understand why we didn't go at it, haha. If I run into one, i'll let ya know though.

I think with 460-470rwhp you could take em... All you need to do is a 2.81pulley with no belt slip, good tune, exhaust, and an intake. Dont even need to do anything else to the eaton... no tuner told me to not even bother with the port... to save the 700 and put it towards a whipple or a procharger, lol - people that bust 11's with no suspension mods to speak of, with just pulley, tune, and basic bolt ons.. like intake and exhaust. if you go with a level 5 IRS, all that above and some Mickeys you can see low 11's...

well teh cobra's ar definitly cheaper than a viper, but the cars arnt really in the same class. the viper is more of an exotic weekend driver and the cobra i think u could have a little more fun with and probably get parts for easier
