So basically in the long run it's more worth it to wait for a rebuild. And is it better to go to a 4valve or 3valve. I wonder if you would still pass smog? unless you get it done illegally of coarse. Do the 2005 GT's come with 2 cams or 4? Also how do use the same block, I guess it stays with a 2 cam design with 4 valve heads. Is that right? sorry my name represents it all (noobie) LoL

The 05 GT will be a 3v SOHC engine.

It's up to you man, you already have a pretty quick ride. Yeah, if you had a DOHC engine those mods would have you well into the 12's.

It's pretty much up to you man.

Again thank you for the replies, I think I might just wait & buy a set of ported 3 valve heads, some good new tricky computer/controlled cams, intake, and sell my heads someday on ebay. Not gonna happen for a while. I just want to know if I can stick with 2 cams, with 4 valve heads.

your best bet would be to just buy a complete 4v motor man.

trust me if I had the money I would love too. I would even buy a 5.4 navigator motor. I just want to know if it will work?[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley21.gif]

it would be cheaper and less of a headache to just buy the whole motor. you can get them for $1500 these days. hell, my friend bought a navigator motor for $1000 the other month.
