well you say the ecu and the brake ooster would have to be changed out. Then you have to install the motor and have it all hooked up. Could you do it RIGHT over the weekend. If not, how long would it take from the get go?
yeah, you could do it in a weekend. my first stang ever...95 3.8, took a week to swap in a 5.0l. that was 2 years ago when i had no car knowledge, and had never even changed oil before. i could easily do it in a weekend now.

you will always run into something little your first time doing it, because all swaps are diff. but you could avoid doing that by talking to someone who has done the swap.

Well I will look into it and see what it will take but Im thinking there is more work to it than im willing to put into it. LOL

And im sure there is someone out there that is willing to charge $10,000 to do it but I'd rather just get a blower put on my 2V.

A 4v swap isn't really cost effective, given that it will bolt up to your block, you would still need to change the intake, wiring harness, ecu, timing cover, etc. - really you pretty much need a donor car - but if you had that then you have an entire engine to swap - and you have the aluminum block and forged crank.

The 3v may be the way to go in the future, since their SOHC designs and probably wont require anyting more to swap then a PI swap on an older 4.6 - but who really knows until they hit the market and the heads, etc. become available.

I think I like MD's idea a little better. If all I need to do is the heads then that sounds a lot easier and Im sure I can do that one.
