Default Gas shutoff switch

Does the 2000 ford mustang gt have a gas shutoff switch? If so would it be in the trunk?

the inertia switch(fuel cut off) is on the driver side underneath the lining on the back side of the trunk

It's a fuel pump cut off switch. It's in the trunk behind the carpet panel on the left (driver's) side.

If your car runs great and occasionally stalls out, it's absolutely not your shutoff switch, without a doubt.

It's more likely to be your IAC.

at the bottom of the red button, right below the case, there will be some wires running into the bottom, with a clip holding the two together, unhook the clip, pull the wires away from the casing, and let the car run til it dies

You're probably right but I wanted to check everything, I thought maybe the wires were bad or some kind of short. I posted last week but no one seemed to know exactly whats wrong with it (it could be anything I know).
Whats an IAC, I havent worked on a car since 2000.

Most likely an IAC issue compounded with a faulty TPS maybe.

If the car cranks and you smell gas, it's most likely not a fuel pump issue.
