Default fuel problem! Help please.

I do not know what is going on with my car. The last 3 tanks I've gotten around 160-180 miles per tank? Which is horrible, I usally got like 280 miles per tank. I mean I dont know what happened? Is a fuel injector stuck up? I went under my car today check all fuel lines, nothing is leaking? Anybody have any idea's what it could be?

Not lately? I have some seafoam I might run it through tomorrow.

Edit: do you an exhaust clip of your car also have you ran it at the track?

I'd seafoam it asap. Not sure, but maybe you have an O2 sensor that's going bad, but not throwing a CEL yet. I don't know if that's even possible or not. Can't hurt to check plugs and your air filter, too.

Sounds like it's running rich if you're burning fuel that rapidly. Also move your right foot back about 2 inches and that might help get your 280 back, lol. Do you see black smoke coming out the rear?

LOL. Ya I mean when I got like 280 miles per tank. I got on it every once and awhile. But this last tank I shifted at like 2grand almost everytime. Just filled her up today and put some seafoam in it. Monday I'll take it to my auto class and hook up OBDII. Just look at all the numbers .

EDIT: and no I never see any white or black smoke coming from my rear.

I don't think it is even posible to get that kind of bad mileage with a stang.[8D]

Is somebody stealing your gas ?

Are you checking mileage when you top off or trying to go by the fuel gage Hey! don't laugh some people do that....

Seriously, if you are susing that much gas you would be running rich or just plain not burning the fuel. Yuo would see fouled plugs, diluted oil and stuff like that.

Good luck & keep us posted
