Default headers

Hows everyone?
to get straight to the point I'm looking for headers so I have a few questions.
I have an 03 stang gt and due to smog and bad roads i will be forced to buy shorties... (i want lt's soo badly, but dont wanna leave my exhaust sitting in a pothole)
I was told the bbk shorties were good by some and by others the ford racing ones..
a couple questions, not sure which would be a better one to go with and secondly what is the difference between regular stainless steel ones and the ceramic coated ones.. i know it helps keeps temps down a bit but i am thinking it does nothing as its on the exhaust side of the spectrum.. and would is it worth it from the cost benefit point of view? I will be going with a forged shortblock and most likely a tt kit if i can find some smog hookups if not a kb 2.1
