Ditch the TB and plenum idea and get some gears (4-10's) prolly

Lol that isnt two seperate hp curves. What you are seeing is the torque curve on top and the hp on bottom. You just misinterpreted the graph due to lack of experience with dyno graphs. If you look at the graph on the left, that shows all hp and torque curves.
Did u even look at that link? It has both before and after HP and torque raitings on the graph, there are 4 curves dip **** and they are color coded, think b4 u speak next time
I looked at all of the dyno graphs. When hes talking about a 60 hp difference, it can only lead to that. Now stfu and be a nice kid.

get the professional products setup you can get the 75mm tb and plenum for 200$ and at that price its worth the hp and torque it gives.

Well look again, becuase there is a 60 hp difference at the bottom of the power band, like he said up there hes not saying theres an overall hp gain of 60 hp

I have never been much of a car enthusiast, but I went from an old junker to a 2002 Mustang GT a month ago and I have started to fall in love with performance cars. I have learned more about cars in the last 2 months than in my last 25 years. (A couple years ago if you asked me what type of car I had I would say a blue one) These forums have taught me alot about what you can do with your Mustang to make it perform even better, but I often run into questions that are probably so basic that no one even bothers asking them. I took alot of physics in college so I have had little trouble understanding the terminology such as horsepower and torque curves, but I do have a question about a thread on Throttle Body/Plenum mods.

I found Dyno readings for a 2003 Mustang GT Stock Throttle Body/Plenum and Accufab Plenum w/ 75mm Throttle body at modulardepot.com through these forums. Plenum/Throttle Dynos

The summary shows that the Accufab parts gave a +6.31 hp boost at 4300 rpm, but what I am curious about is the apparent HP gains at low RPMs.

With the stock parts, the HP at 2500 rpms seams to be about 60hp. It then rises to about 125hp at 2615 rpms.

With the Accufab parts, the HP at about 2350 rpms is 70hp, a 10hp gain. It rises to about 120 hp at 2500 rpms, a good 60 hp higher than the stock parts. Is this a mistake with their charts, or do these improved parts actually give such a large boost at such low rpms? And if so, does this have much of a bearing on the car's acceleration at low speeds with minimul reving of the engine?
not havin looked at the graphs, a 60hp increase from a tb/plenum is a mistake. the benefit from a new tb/plenum comes in at higher rpms. a new tb/plenum allows more air in by being less of a restriction that the stock parts. but the "amount of" restriction from by the stock parts doesn't really come into play until higher up in the revs and under full throttle - when the engine is trying to suck in alot of air. so if you put in parts that flow better, you won't see anything down low. actually you will because you are changing the air velocity and "tuning" of the intake track, but generally its as i described.
