my car was sold by ford creditental, so i think it might have been, either that or it was a lease car, but the car had 45k miles on it when i got it and it had different exhaust so i doubt it was a lease vechicle

after 9/11 i was laid off and was having trouble finding work. I was driving a 01 altima at the time. I talked to my finance company to work something out, but they wanted money i didnt have. On top of that, my mom died and i flew home. It was repo'ed from the airport garage! [&:] I found out my neighbor in my apartment complex told the repo dude i flew outta town. Needless to say, i looked for my car and saw it wasnt there. I didnt think it would be repo'ed there, so i thought someone stole it. Called Metro and they told me it had been "reclaimed by the owning financial institution." Anyway, got a ride home and called the bank. They took the car and whole-saled it (is that even a term?) and i was on the hook for the balance owed. I threatened to filed bankruptcy and they wouldnt get anything, so i settled for 2K and had it taken off my credit.
