well guys i went from a 15.1 to a 14.8 and it was all becuase of my shift point. like i said i shifted at 6300 rpms my first time up (way out of powerband) and today i shifted at 4500 rpms (in powerband) and look what happens

i felt i raced good today n it feels great to be below a 15

4500 is still low, 5000-5500 is where it's at, you want to go a little past your peak power because you're accelerating faster in 2nd at 5500 RPM than you are in 3rd at 4000 RPM. It's all about the gear advantage.

i only did 4500 today

i think i was ecited becuase i broke the 15 so i just stuck with it

i ran about 5 times worst was 15.2 n obvoiusly best was 14.9 but next time i gotta try diff things deff

 

i ran a 14.6 with my 98 gt only mods were cai, x pipe, and flows so you definitly have more potential in that car

 

i ran the time in my signature with an auto.

 

my car will run a 14.6 on a good run

 

the 98 gt had an extra 10 horse i beilve the the 96 did i know it not a huge diff but ten horse is ten horse

 

i ran a 14.9 at 91.6 with a 2.1 60' with the mods in my sig and im auto. But i did shift myself because my 1st gear blows and after 4K rpm it doesnt pull at all so i shifted outta 1st at 4 and the rest at redline.

 

congrats on a sub 15, my best time was a 14.6 with a 2.2
