From what I have heard, Lucas products do not utilize anti-foaming agents and what you saw in the post (which I posted at least twice over the past year or so) are the results. In colder weather this may even get worse. I stay totally away from their products and simply use a good synthetic oil. Right now I am using 5w30 Royal Purple which my '98 GT vert loves. Check it out: www.royalpurple.com/techa/whyrpa.html

Youre not helping your engine for sure, and definately wasting your money.... IMO

It seems like lucas products are snake oil but I am confused why they are sanctioned by the NHRA. Why would they sacntion and use such an apparently bad/damaging product?
Does Lucas contribute to NHRA? That would be my first question... [:-]
+1. Theres your answer right there.

Is this the same with injector cleaner? I use the stuff about three times a year, just to make sure the car is running well. Anyone know?

Injector cleaner is basically a top oil kind of additive like Marvel Mystery Oil with some detergents to dissolve injector/valve deposits. Can't hurt anything. One of the best gas additives I ever used was Valvoline's Synth Power fuel "system" cleaner. Lasts for at least 3,000 miles. You'll notice a difference after just half a tank.

I don't use additives and I won't use additives. I like to fix any problems correctly that might require the additives in the first place.

There's your reply for the hit I contributed.
