Did you buy a firewall adjuster? Its almost a must with an aftermarket clutch.

My clutch had a similar issue, reach down and pull up on the clutch pedal, it will "snap" and thats how you adjust a stock cable. After that I would buy a Steeda clutch quadrant and a firewall adjuster. The cable is a waste of money.

Aftermarket clutches are said to sit a little higher than stock clutches. This is to compensate for the stiffer pedal feel so that it will release more quickly between shifts and prevent mis-shifting due to not disengaging the clutch all the way. If there is a chattering noise, that can be due to improper resurfacing of the flywheel.

To adjust your clutch, pull up on the clutch pedal really hard. If you hear a loud click, it adjusted. If you hear no loud click, then IDK. I have the same clutch in my car and it felt funny at first. I pushed the pedal in and out a few times and it like 'settled'. After a week or so, I found out about the clutch pull up adjustment and the clutch felt alot better. All ford late model clutches are adjusted this way.
