I have a 2001 gt automatic...with kenne-bell k&n cold air intake system....tomorrow Ill have the kenne-bell switch chip on it...cold air max hp is 15 and the chip adds max 25 hp and 22 ftlbs of torque...and I just got beat by an srt-4 stock like 20 minutes ago....

If your basically stock, which you are, (theres no way your gonna gain 40hp from a chip and intake) an srt will destroy you from a roll. For a short race from a dig (1/8th) you should be alright. The srts are hard to launch cause they put so much power to the front wheels. In the stang, you'll get him out of the hole, and then he'll have to play catchup (which he will).

Stock vs. stock its not a drivers race, unless pro experienced drivers with both cars are driving. SRT-4 WILL trap faster every time. Its their race to lose, most mustang drives cant cut good enough 60's to hold them off.
If its from a stop you have a small chance, from a roll not even with those mods; i'd still put my money on the srt4.

haha i got raped by an srt-4 the other day.... granted im still trying to learn how to race with a stick... and i just bought the car like 4 days before this happened
i got a few boltons o/r xpipe....75mm throttle body... and a 80mm MAF.... and a performance chip and 3.73 gears... and he came up to me and revved and i was liek hmmm ill see what this lil bad boys got.... and we went from a 30 mph roll. and he literally killed the **** outta me.. by like 4 cars.. it was bad... we met up at the gas station and he has a stage 2 kit on it and is pushin more then 300 hp and i dont remember how much torque he told me he had.... but yea i got killled... but maybe next time itll be a diff. story when i get a few more mods
